	Baseball Registration There are 3 different divisions for baseball. Each league has a fall ball fee of $30. The age groups are based on the age of the player as of April 30, 2012. T-Ball This is a league for beginning baseball or players. This league is for boys ages 4 - 6 and for girls ages 4 - 7. Rookie League Baseball This is a coach pitch league. This league is for boys ages 7 - 8 and for girls of age 8. Major / Minor Baseball This league is a player pitch league. This league is for boys and girls ages 9 - 12. Registration Fees, Concession Stand, Fund Raising, and Parental Responsibilities (Please Read) Northern Cal Ripken, Inc., runs its baseball leagues solely on the supports of parents and volunteers. The registration fee covers only a portion of the funds needed to operate the league,including : accident and liability insurance, umpires, score keepers, baseballs, individualtrophies, equipment, and team drinks. In the past, we have not had concessions available during the Fall Ball season. We want to get back to offering this service for our kids. We may not have the full menu as we did in the spring season, but we want to be able to service our players and families, if needed. As such, we require that all parents work a shift in the concession stand for each child in the league. If you do not wish to work the concession stand, then you may pay a $40 fee to cover the cost of hiring a replacement. More information about scheduling a shift will be given to you by your child's coach or team mom. We all need to pitch in to help keep our league running smoothly! Part of the reason why we could reduce some costs was because everyone pitched in and helped out last year! Let's all do our part to make our park the best we can for our kids! Last year we made a concerted effort to have everyone pitch in and fund raise for our park. There are some parks that cost a lot more than we do, and the kids don't even get to keep their uniforms! We are able to let everyone keep their uniforms, mostly because of the fund raising done by each child. We have some type of fund raiser that the players can go door to door around the neighborhood to sell. It is usually a modest amount of time and work. We have asked them to sell pies, gift cards, candy bars or some other item. It does not take that much time to sell them, and this helps us keep our costs down every year. Most of the parents and players do this without any complaints, but there are always some that refuse to help out, and that hurts everyone. We have decided to ask everyone to agree to be a part of our league by completing their fund raising responsibility. Therefore, you will not be allowed to register unless you agree to your fund raising obligation. We are also asking you to pitch in around the park. If needed, please be available to help keep our park clean. We often need help raking the fields before and after games and/or practices, so any help we can get from the parents will speed up the process for everyone. We also ask that you help keep our park clean. If you see some trash on the ground, please take it to the nearest trash receptacle. If there is a need for more trash bags, toilet paper, or other item, please go to the concession stand to let them know. We will take care of it as quickly as we can. With your help, we can make our park a beautiful place for our kids. Northern Cal Ripken, Inc., runs its baseball and softball leagues solely on the supports of parents and volunteers. The registration fee covers only a portion of the funds needed to operate the league. At $30, we are one of the least expensive leagues in the city. Note : If you have not registered with Northern Cal Ripken within the last year, you will need to
supply a copy of the child's birth certificate at the first team meeting.
