History
CR

G-Man   Northern Cal Ripken Baseball & Fast Pitch Softball began play as Northern Little League at Castlewood Park. In 1973, Northern Little League moved to its current location, Kenawood Park. The league continued to grow and even won the 1979 Kentucky State Championship.

In 1993, the board of directors decided to change affiliations from Little League to the Babe Ruth Baseball League, Inc., calling the new league Northern Bambino. Starting with the 1997 season, the girls softball program was created and played it games at Kenawood Park.

In 2000, the Cal Ripken Division for Babe Ruth Baseball was created and our name changed to what we now call Northern Cal Ripken Baseball & Fast Pitch Softball. As the league continued to grow and consistently fielded 400 children each year, Kenawood Park had reached it capacity on field space for games and practices. The current girl's softball program which has 8 teams, now practices and plays all games on the lighted field at Constitution Park. There are currently 27 teams that play their games at Kenawood Park.
