In addition to hosting try-outs for Rookie and Major baseball, Champions has agreed to work with NCR in a variety of ways. Champions has already offered discounted camps for NCR players, and more opportunities are on the way!

Champions offers a number of services for your players:
Feel free to check them out. Every year more and more NCR players are heading out to the Champions, and it is starting to show. Baseball and Softball have become a year round sport, and Champions is helping our players keep in playing shape every day of the year.

Summer Tournaments Announced

NCR has decided that it is about time we started showing off our park! This summer we are going to be hosting FOUR baseball tournaments.  We are  going to offer tournaments for all levels of play.  Here is the schedule:

July 10 - 12 : 6U & 8U Baseball Tournament

In order for us to be able to pull this off, we are going to need all the help we can get. We are asking every player, parent, and fan to help us out as much as you can. We will need grounds crews, concession workers, loud fans, and all kinds of other help.

NCR ran its own 8U tournament last summer, and it was awesome!
Everyone came together to help the tournament go off without a hitch. It was truly a team effort, and because everyone helped out, we had one of the best tournaments in the state last summer. We got several comments on how it was very well run, on how the grounds crew kept the fields in excellent shape, and on how nice it was to have air conditioned bathrooms! We heard several coaches and parents say that they enjoyed our tournament more than any other last summer.

We need that kind of effort again this year. So please be ready to pitch in however you can. Let's show all the other parks in the city and state how a tournament should be run. Let's have some fun and show them our Northern pride!

Hello and Welcome. Northern Cal Ripken Baseball Baseball & Fast Pitch Softball is a privately funded, fully sanctioned Baseball & Fast Pitch Softball League for boys and girls. We are one of three Leagues in Lexington that are a part of the Cal Ripken Association. The boys ages for baseball can range from 4 thru 12, while the girls are eligible to play softball from ages 4 thru 16.

There are summer All-star teams for all levels of play. Softball has All-star teams starting at 8U, and the boys have All-star teams starting with T-ball.

Our season begins with practices in the end of March, with games beginning early April. The season runs until the end of June with All-Star play to follow with ages 7 and up, and features the following leauges:

Major/Minor Baseball, Rookie, T-Ball, Major/Minor Fast Pitch Softball.

Attention all Coaches, Assistant Coaches,
and  Team Moms!

Before the season begins, you MUST fill out the Youth Leader Request Form! You can right click on the link and save the file to your computer. Please print off this form and give it to your league coordinator as soon as possible. If this form is not completed by the first game, you will not be allowed to continue in your current role.

Please only fill out the top half of the form. The bottom half needs to be filled out by a Northern Cal Ripken official.

Also, ALL coaches and assistant coaches must complete the certification designated by Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth baseball. This process must be completed by the first game. If it is not completed, then you will not allow to be a coach for the team until the certification has been completed. It would be wise to take the test now, as it is currently a lifetime certification. If the test is not taken this year, then the certification will rotate into a 3 year certification. Please see the Coaches Corner for the link.
