Fall Ball Registrations next Saturday
at Kenawood!

We will have sign-ups from 10:00am - 2:00pm, this Saturday (August 30th) at Kenawood! Come on by to ask questions or to sign your kids up for Softball or Baseball. We will be at the gazebo behind the Major league field. Remember, the 8U softball league is free of charge to the first 40 players to sign up! All other leagues are only $25.

Important Board Meeting!

If you applied to become a Board member for the 2008 - 2009 Softball and Baseball seasons (September - August), then you will need to attend the Board Meeting on September 2nd. At that time, we will elect the new officers for the upcoming season.

We are very fortunate that we have more people applying to help out than are needed. It is quite often the case that leagues are scrambling to find people to fill out the positions. It is great that we have so many parents wanting to help out!

At the meeting, we will gather everyone together, describe every position, take nominations for the positions, and vote for the new Board. Once the new Board is elected, they will have a quick meeting with the old Board members.

If you are not selected to serve on the Board this year, then you will be excused from the meeting. However, please keep in mind that we will need your help throughout the year. We saw last year that we can do some great things if we all come together for the betterment of our league, and we need your help!

We are extremely grateful that you are willing to take on these important positions, and we hope that everyone at the park can help so we can give our kids the best experience possible! Thank you for all that you have done, and will continue to do, for our kids!

The normal registration fee for fall ball is only $25! However, we have a special deal for a new league forming for girls softball. Read below for the details!

Big News For Girls Softball!

NCR is excited to announce a BRAND NEW Coach Pitch softball league aimed at younger girls wanting to try out softball. Coming this fall NCR will be offering an 8U softball league! In order to celebrate this new league, we are going to
let the first 40 girls that sign up do so for NO CHARGE! Yes, it is FREE to the first 40 girls that sign up!

This is great opportunity for young ladies that are interested in trying out softball! Come give it a shot. If you are not satisfied (and you are one of the first 40 to sign up), then we will give you your money back! Where else can you get this kind of a deal?

NCR Summer Season Ends

This summer will go down as one of the best ever for Northern Cal Ripken Baseball and Softball! We had teams winning tournaments from every league! Some of our teams were winners multiple times. You can check on our summer success at the Summer Tournaments section to the left. We are extremely proud of how hard all of you played this summer! You let the entire state know that the softball and baseball leagues here at Northern are a force to be reckoned with for years to come! Congratulations on a job well done!

Hello and Welcome. Northern Cal Ripken Baseball Baseball & Fast Pitch Softball is a privately funded, fully sanctioned Baseball & Fast Pitch Softball League for boys and girls. We are one of three Leagues in Lexington that are a part of the Cal Ripken Association. The boys ages for baseball can range from 4 thru 12, while the girls are eligible to play softball from ages 4 thru 16.

There are summer All-star teams for all levels of play. Softball has All-star teams starting at 8U, and the boys have All-star teams starting with T-ball.

Our season begins with practices in the end of March, with games beginning early April. The season runs until the end of June with All-Star play to follow with ages 7 and up, and features the following leauges:

Major/Minor Baseball, Rookie, T-Ball,
Major/Minor Fast Pitch Softball.

Attention all Coaches, Assistant Coaches,
and Team Moms!

Before the season begins, you MUST fill out the Youth Leader Request Form! You can right click on the link and save the file to your computer. Please print off this form and give it to your league coordinator as soon as possible. If this form is not completed by the first game, you will not be allowed to continue in your current role.

Please only fill out the top half of the form. The bottom half needs to be filled out by a Northern Cal Ripken official.

Also, ALL coaches and assistant coaches must complete the certification designated by Cal Ripken / Babe Ruth baseball. This process must be completed by the first game. If it is not completed, then you will not allow to be a coach for the team until the certification has been completed. It would be wise to take the test now, as it is currently a lifetime certification. If the test is not taken this year, then the certification will rotate into a 3 year certification.
